Corrective Action Reports — User Guide
Overview
This register lists every Corrective Action Report across every audit, site-wide. CARs aren't created here directly — they're always created from a specific finding on its parent Audit, so the description and standard clause never need re-typing.
Opening a CAR
Click "Open CAR" on any row to edit its Root Cause, Corrective Action, Due Date, and follow-up log in a popup — no page reload needed. You can also click "View Audit" to jump to the audit the finding came from for full context.
Status
Status (Open, In Progress, Closed, Verified Effective) is computed from the follow-up log, not set by hand, and a CAR is automatically flagged Overdue the moment its due date passes without being closed.
Using the register
- The KPI strip shows Total, Open, and Overdue CARs for your current filters.
- Filter by status or overdue-only, and sort by due date.
- "Export CSV" downloads exactly what your current filters show.
